Ehrlich "Special Advisor" to Failed Bank
We already knew that Bob Ehrlich’s law/lobbying firm represents banks that have participated in bailout programs, but now a bank that Ehrlich helped to manage has been taken over by regulators.
Bob Ehrlich was named as a “special advisor to the Board of Directors” of Bay National Bank in March 2007. Ehrlich was listed on the Bank’s corporate filing in 2007 as special advisor, but his name no longer appears on the Bank’s website. Since Ehrlich joined the bank, it has become clear that the bank made bad bets on the housing market, leading to escalating losses and resulting in federal intervention to keep the bank solvent. While the bank was profitable at the time Ehrlich joined, it has since reported nine consecutive quarterly losses – and today federal regulators intervened to take over the bank. Bob Ehrlich hasn’t told us about his involvement with Bay National Bank. What else is Bob Ehrlich trying to hide from the people of Maryland?
The Daily Record reported today that a financially troubled bank, which Bob Ehrlich served as special advisor to, was taken over by federal regulators.
